The ‘format’ is the conceptual container, the context, the structure, the macro. The ‘mechanism’ is the new vocab, the logic, the specific way of working within an existing structure, the micro.
fam both develops new formats and experiments with the mechanisms of existing formats. We are skeptical and bored of the way technology is used and excited about rethinking the different ways it could be put to use. We also love to experiment, play and question how things are communicated.
We work directly with artists, designers, musicians, directors, researchers, institutions and brands, helping them to extend their vision into almost all domains.
We have experience in both the creative and technological side of a project across commercial as well as cultural settings. We offer research, consultancy, creative direction, art direction, image-making, front & back tech development, editing, sound creation and music supervision.
